All City – German Street Art im Goethe-Institut Chicago

(via Mail) Das Goethe-Institut Chicago zeigt vom 11. – 31. Januar 2013 eine Ausstellung mit ausgewählten Street Art Fotos aus Berlin und München. Die Fotos sind von der gr0ßartigen New Yorker Fotografin Luna Park und von Lord Jim.

The Goethe- Institut Chicago presents an exhibition of selected Street Art photos from Berlin and Munich.

The spectacular photos by Lord Jim and Luna Park will be shown at the Goethe-Institut during the month of January. Providing insight into Graffiti Writing as well as Street Art in Germany, this exhibition can only be seen in Chicago.

In addition to a gallery talk  with Lord Jim and Luna Park at the opening of the exhibition (Jan 11 at 6PM), two German Graffiti movies- “Alter Ego” and “Whole Train” will be screened (Jan 17 & 24, 6PM).

This combination of exhibition and films presents a comprehensive introduction to the vibrant German Street Art and Graffiti Writing scene.

About the Artists

Lord Jim and Luna Park are well-known Street Art photographers.

Their works were published in a variety of books (“Stay Up! Los Angeles Street Art”,” Banksy: You are an acceptable level of threat”,” Banksy: Myths and Legends”). You can find the work of Brooklyn based Luna Park at The Street Spot.
